Otis “Kid Novice” Oden came up with the intentions of putting his name at the center of attention for the right reasons. Raised in the Bronx, in a neighborhood filled with poverty, drugs & death around every corner, one has to find an escape. Some do their best to leave their environment, while others find ways to isolate from the harsh realities that plague their daily life. Novice was able to do both, with the help of a strong household & education from the school to the streets. Kid Novice has released two projects “November Ice: The Mixtape”, released in December 2007, and “We Only Came to Eat Vol. 1”, which was hosted by Dipset’s DJ Moe Sticky and released in the summer of 2008. Also, he has been featured on various mixtapes courtesy of: DJ Rush Hour, DJ Seiko, DJ Stupac, DJ Mystro, DJ Tech Nasty, DJ M. Breeze, DJ Chase, DJ King Titan, 1200 Assassin, and more. Many music websites have covered Kid Novice, including: HipHopGame.com, the9elements.com, benzandabackpack.com, 8tyeight.com, GlobalGrind.com, Rapbasement.com, and UrbanMagazine.com.
He is currently working on a free download mixtape, “Jack of All Trades”, and a street album titled, “Beginner’s Rush”.
